VBE_Extras - manual install

There are two options for manual installation of VBE_Extras:

1. Using an 'installer.xlsm' Excel Workbook (note this does install VBE_Extras for all host applications, not just for Excel). You do not need 'admin' permissions on your device for this option, however, the VBA code contained in the Workbook does need read/write access to the Registry (only to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive ... which is typically available to all users). This is by far the simpler of these two options.

2. Using either the RegEdit tool or .reg files to individually add the Registry keys (again, only to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive). You do need 'admin' permissions on your device for this option. Note that if you edit the registry incorrectly, serious problems might occur that could require a complete re-install of the operating system and/or result in data loss.

To manually install VBE_Extras version 1.7.1.2, first, download VBE_Extras_Manual_Install.zip - this includes instructions for both manual installation options (and the 'installer.xlsm' Excel Workbook).

Optionally, to simplify the install process, after downloading the .zip file and before unzipping it, right-click on it and select Properties ... if, at the bottom of the resulting dialog, you can see an 'Unblock' checkbox then check (tick) it and click OK.

Then unzip the archive file, read the End User Licence Agreement (if you do not agree to the terms of the EULA, do not install VBE_Extras) and follow the instructions in the manual install PDF file for the option you want to use.
